Mary McDorman

Mary Katherine McDorman, 98, died at 9:01 p.m. May 26, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1912, in Lima, Ohio to Charles Frederick and Anna Gusta Gunderson Barber, who preceded her in death. On January 20, 1930, she married John H. McDorman, who died May 18, 1996. Mrs. McDorman retired as a sales clerk from Gregg?s and The Leader department stores. She had worked at the Lima Tank Depot during World War II. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Wayne) Barrick, of Toledo, Ohio; two sons, David (Carol) McDorman, of Elida, Ohio, and Craig (Kathy) McDorman, of St. Mary?s, Ohio; and 21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John H. McDorman Jr.; and a daughter, Barbara Wedertz. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Baptist Temple.
