Mary L. (Binkley) Meyer

Mary L. (Binkley) Meyer, 91, died at 1:30 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014, at Elmcroft Assisted Living Center in Lima, Ohio.

Mary was born on September 12, 1922, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Raymond G. Binkley and Mary (Lawson) Binkley.

On November 9, 1946, in St. John's Catholic Church, Lima, she married Richard Meyer. They enjoyed a rich and blessed marriage for 67 years. He survives in Lima.

Mary was a gracious and kind woman. There were no strangers in her home. She devoted her life to her children and her husband by creating a warm and loving home. Mary was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society, Life member of VFW Post 1275 Auxiliary, K of C Auxiliary and 26 years a member of St. Rita's Auxiliary.

She is survived by: three sons, James (Alicia) Meyer, of Batavia, OH, Robert J. (Karen) Meyer, of Elida, OH, Thomas M. (Cindy) Meyer of Lima, Ohio; a daughter Kathleen Windau, of Dublin, OH; eight grandchildren, Jason Meyer, Christie (Andy) Eyler, Laura (Adam) Himelson, Cheryl (Mike) Troyer, Erica (Shaun) Ryan, Kelly Meyer, Bethany Windau Sage, Mark Windau; six great grandchildren Scarlett Eyler, Samuel Eyler, Ellen Troyer, Marc Troyer, Conner Ryan, Liam Ryan; a brother Joseph (June) Binkley.

She was preceded in death by: two brothers, Robert Binkley, and Charles "Ed" Binkley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 and a Rosary Service at 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Father Jim Szobonya officiating.

Entombment will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard's Catholic Church, 240 W. Robb, Lima, Ohio 45801.
