Mary Lou Dotson Miller, 85 of Lima, Ohio died on Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Lima Convalescent Home.
Born Sunday, June 27, 1926 in Lima, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Colby Allen and the late Mary Miller Allen.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Family of Faith United Methodist Church, Lima, Ohio. She had worked for Sears Roebuck & Company and Lazarus. She graduated in 1944 from Lima South High School. She married Thomas Dotson on March 2, 1945 in Texas; he has preceded her in death on August 30, 1973. She married Forest "Pete" Miller on February 7, 1976, He preceded her in death on June 20, 1977. She was a member of the Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary volunteering for over 40 years. She was a Past member of Lima Elks Golf League at Hawthorne Hills and their Bowing League
Surviving are daughters, Susan (Blain) Dorn of Crossville, TN, Beverly Dotson of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Connie (Pat) Seggerson of Villa Hills, KY and Cheryl (Kevin) Ellerbrock of Ottawa, OH, brother, Jim Allen of Elida, OH; 9 grand children; 8 great grand children and two great great grandchildren. A brother-in-law Gene (Beverly) Dotson of Surprise, AZ. and a sister-in-law Carol Sites of Dayton, Ohio
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Family of Faith United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Loescher will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, , , . Memorial contributions may be sent to Family of Faith United Methodist Church or Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary.
