81 of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Her Daughters Residence, Powell, Ohio.
Born Friday, February 14, 1930 in Allen County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl Wagner and the late Verena Hemker Wagner. She was the wife of the late Carmen Modica.
Mrs. Modica married Carmen Modica on April 15, 1950; he preceded her in death on May 16, 1990. She was a bookkeeper for Hawthorne Hills Golf Club for many years but also worked at Dugan Mulcahy Siferd Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church, the CLC; Eagles Aerie 370-Lima, American Legion Aux., Lima; VFW Aux. She was an Avid Card Player and Game show watcher. She loved golfing and reading.
Surviving are sons, Steve (Ramona) Modica of Columbus, OH and James Modica of Lima, OH, daughters, Mary Jo Modica-Greenwood of Columbus, OH, Alicia (Dan) Bosch of Marysville, OH and Carmie (Peter) Minardi of Powell, OH,, five grandchildren, Justin Modica, of Chicago, Illinois, James & Michelle Modica of Lima, Ohio, Kyle Bosch of Marysville, Ohio, Savannah Minardi, of Powell, Ohio, Andrew Minardi of Powell, Ohio, one great grandchild Kylee Modica, of Lima, Ohio, a brother, Leon Wagner of Madison, WI.
She was predeceased by a son-in-law Mark Greenwood brothers, Richard, Eugene, Harold, Arnold, Lawrence, Frank and Clarence "Lou", sisters, Sister Henrietta, Catherine and Rita., sister-in-laws, Loretta, Viola , Dixie, Alex, Christine, and brother-in-laws, Albinus and Andy
Public Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 8:00 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Gerard's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
