Mary Evelyn Morris, 88, died at 8:40 a.m. September 3, 2008, at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima, Ohio. She was born December 1, 1919, in Brownfield, Illinois, to Onnelius and Pearl Parr Lewis, who preceded her in death. She married Norville Russell, who preceded her in death, and later in 1950, married George Morris, who died in 1985. Mrs. Morris worked in the Paducah Head Start Program from 1965 to 1984. She was a medical coordinator. Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Linda) Russell, of Lebanon, Ohio, and Wade (Janie) Morris, of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Marian Deputy, of Harrisburg, Illinois; a niece, Diane (Steve)Deputy Fullbright, of Harrisburg, Illinois; a nephew, David Deputy, of Herrin, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Julie (Steve) Gray, of Nobelsville, Illinois, Kathie (Chris) Russell, of Paducah, Kentucky, and Nick (Leanne) Morris, of Hanover, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a half sister, Carman Lewis, and two stillborn infant children. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lindsey Funeral Home, Paducah, Kentuck. The Rev. David Stanford will officiate. Burial will be in (Odd Fellow Cemetery), Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Golconda, Illinois. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
