Mary M. Redding,
91, died at 7:08 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Mary was born on December 17, 1922, in Delphos, Ohio, to the late Claude Bergfeld and H. Caroline (O'Neal) Bergfeld.
Mary married F. Jack Redding Jr. on May 8, 1946. He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She loved to volunteer at nursing homes for over 20 years for masses and bringing cookies for the residents.
She is survived by: four daughters Suzanne M. Bryan of Ada, Ohio, M. Lisa Ferguson of Ada, Ohio, Carolyn A. (Frank) Lanczak, of Lima, OH, and Julie A. Redding of Lima, OH; three sons David (Susan) Redding of Lima OH, Jeffrey J. (Bridgette) Redding of Cincinnati, OH, and Tim (Elayne) Redding of Lima, OH; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; one sister, Caroline (Harry) Gallmeier, of Delphos, OH; three brothers, Pat Bergfeld of Lima, OH, Claude (Mary) Bergfeld of Delphos, OH and Eugene (Sally) Bergfeld of Toledo, OH.
She is preceded in death by: two sons-in-law, Brent Bryan, and Fred Ferguson; two sisters Grace Bergfeld and Evelyn Maulin.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M, on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio with a parish wake following visitation at 8:00 P.M.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Charles Borromeo Church with Father Stephen Blum officiating.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
