Mary Rose Snider, 103 of Lima, Ohio died on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Burton's Ridge Assisted Living.
Born Tuesday, August 10, 1909 in Kalida, she was the daughter of the late J. Bernard Verhoff and the late Mary (Lemper) Verhoff. She was married to Dwaine Snider who preceded her in death on October 13, 1965
Mrs Snider worked for J. C. Penny, Co. as a salesperson. She belonged to St Rose Catholic Church, Lima. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and the Allen County Council on Aging. She was also a member of the Westgate Senior Citizen's Bowling League. She was a member of the First Families of Putnam County.
Surviving are son, Bob D. (Carloyn) Snider of Elida, and a daughter, Donelda J (Charles) Brogee of Lima ; 4 grand children, Robert (Cathy) Snider of Lima, Ohio, Robert (Vivian) Myers, of Lima, Ohio, Elizabeth (Brian) Bell of Lawrenceville, GA., Susan (David) Hosey of Minster, Ohio; 5 great grand children, Ryan Myers, Meredith (David Harrison) Bell, Morgan (Guy) Anderws. Melissa (Mike) Smithson and Sara Hosey
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite V. Lavergne.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father David M. Ross officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 5, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
