Mary Stonehill

MARY JOAN (STOUT) STONEHILL, 82, died at 2:12 a.m. November 24, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 3, 1924, in Lima, Ohio to William L. and Reginna Stout, who preceded her in death. She married Lewis "Jack" Stonehill September 23, 1944. He died February 28, 1995. Mrs. Stonehill was a member of the Southside Christian Church, Lima Senior Citizens, YWCA, Lima Hammond Organ Society, Gromans Organ Club, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and AARP. She was a bookkeeper for the Tank Depot during World War II and later at Lima Register Credit Union. Survivors include a son, William (Mary) Stonehill, of Elida, Ohio; two granddaughters, Donna Jo Ann Stonehill. of Elida, Ohio, and Kimberly (James) Middleton, of Lakewood, Washington; two great-grandsons, Preston Stonehill, of Elida, Ohio, and Arthur Middleton, of Lakewood, Washington; three brothers, Paul Stout, of Lima, Ohio, Donald Stout, of Findlay, Ohio, and Harold Stout, of California; and a cousin, Pat Mores. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
