Mason D. Metzger,

70, passed away at 5:35 PM on Saturday, January 09, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

Mason was born on Sunday, January 28, 1945, to the late Oral Melvin and M. June (Dixon) Metzger. On Saturday, February 19, 1966, he married Marybeth Snyder who survives in Lima.

Mason was a truck driver and co-owner with his wife of M&M Concessions. He enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Eagle's and spending winters in Ruskin Florida. Mason served in the Ohio National Guard for six years.

He is survived by: daughters, Sarah (Patrick) Hennessey, and Karen (Michael) Raines; sons, Mike (Amy Ricker) Metzger and David Metzger; grandchildren, Dan, Matt, Sean, Kevin and Kate Hennessey, Jared, Emily, Brice and Neil Metzger and Connor Raines; sister, JoAnne Bragg and brother, Dennis (Kim) Metzger.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
