30 of Lima, Ohio died on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, December 19, 1981 in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas W. Avery and Jan K. (Quick) Avery.
Matthew loved basketball and animals, including several of his own pets. He had an infectious smile and never met a stranger.
Surviving are: a sister, Erica (Josh) Marshall of Lima, OH; a niece, Alexis Marshall; two nephews, Cole Marshall, and Luke Marshall; maternal grandparents, Norman (Evelyn) Quick of Dublin, Ohio; paternal grandparents, William (Joyce) Avery, of Lima, Ohio; several aunts and uncles; many cousins.
Proceeded in death by a maternal grandmother, Virginia Quick.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. William Cronk officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
