Max Lavern Geesaman,

85 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 10:23 A.M.at his residence in Lima, Ohio.

Born May 23, 1927 in Portland, Indiana, he was the son of the late Clarence O. Geesaman and Lulu Frances (Schroll) Geesaman.

Max married Carol E. Rousculp on June 4, 1955 in Portland, Indiana. She preceded him in death. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1945 to 1946.He retired in 1989 from the West Ohio Gas Company. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Center since 1978; volunteered at the TV-44; member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #370; former member of the Lima Beane Chorus, where he was Barber Shopper of the Year; and a voting poll worker. He loved dancing, enjoyed playing cards, fishing, aviation (Pilot) and meeting with his friends at the "Kewpee".

Surviving are: two sons, Jeffrey (Lori) Geesaman and Larry (Joyce) Geesaman; two daughters, Cynthia (Dan) Ketteman and Amy (Charlie) Sterling, seventeen grandchildren, Joey Geesaman, Nick Geesaman, Shawn Nutt, Ian Geesaman, Kyle Geesaman, Andrea Geesaman, C.J.
Geesaman, Matthew Ketteman, Lynda Ketteman, Jessie Meeker, Cory Meeker, Brandon Meeker, Trey Meeker, Kalin Sterling, Zach Sterling. Carrie Burden, Sara Bolenbaugh; 10 great grandchildren, Lilly, Laylah, Rylee, Karlee, Carter, Cody, Zalen, Sophie, Ally, Casey; and a caregiver, Jerry Meeker.

He was predeceased by brothers, Jay Geesaman and Paul Geesaman.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2012, and Monday, October 29, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at New Hope Christian Center located at 2240 Baty Rd. Lima, Ohio 45807 with the Pastor Jim Menke officiating.
