Maxie R. Bantner
84, died at 11:45 AM on Sunday, November 02, 2014, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Facility in Lima, Ohio.

Maxie was born on April 17, 1930, in Tazewell, Tennessee, to the late Grant Hurd and Myrtle (Owens) Hurd. On Sunday, October 10, 1954 she married James Keith Bantner. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2001.

She was a member of Bible Missionary Church.

She was survived by: three sons, Keith (Barb) Bantner, of Spencerville, OH, Kevin (Debbie) Bantner, of Pataskala, OH and Kenny (Yvonne) Bantner, of Canal Winchester, OH; a daughter, Karen (Mark) Schmiesing, of Lima, OH; a brother, Pascal Hurd, of Germantown, OH; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: a son, Karl Bantner; four sisters, Ruby Lewis, Pansy Moloney. Vera Lynch and her twin sister Maysie Rowlett; a brother, Ralph Hurd.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m.and 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin 10 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Massengill will officiate.

Interment will be in Allentown Cemetery, Allentown, Ohio.
