MAXINE MARIE McCOY
87, of Lima, went to be with the Lord at 6:22 A.M. on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Baton Rouge Senior Health Facility.
She was born Saturday, April 25, 1925 in McGuffey, Ohio, to the late Fay Bowden and the late Dorothy (Marshall) Bowden. She married Dallas A. McCoy on July 15, 1942 and he passed away August 11, 1988.
Mrs. McCoy had worked at Artex, R.G.Dun Cigar Factory, and she retired as a supervisor in the kitchen at The Lima State Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Buffy. She loved her grandchildren and liked to go shopping.
Surviving are four sons; Jerry R. McCoy of Bradenton, FL, John F. (Raelene) McCoy of Lima, Richard E. McCoy of Umatilla, FL and Raymond E. (Vicky) McCoy of Lima a daughter, Peggy A. Lucius of Lima, also 14 grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren, and 11 Great-Great-grandchildren. and a daughter-in-law Lynda McCoy of Lima, a brother, Donald A. Bowden of Lima and a sister, Patty Fickel of Lima, also her special friend Marge Hollar.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas A. McCoy, three brothers: Robert E. Bowden, Delmar R. Bowden and James L. Bowden.
A private family burial service will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Shawnee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
