MAYBELLE TIERNEY, 79, died at 12:44 p.m. February 4, 2006, at Sunrise Assisted Living, Findlay, Ohio. She was born May 11, 1926, in Middletown, Ohio to Raymond and Carrie Hudson, who preceded her in death. On February 13, 1976, she married Edward Tierney, who survives in Findlay, Ohio. Mrs. Tierney was an executive secretary for Westinghouse/Sundstrand where she worked for 32 years. She was a 1948 graduate of Otterbein College. She was a member and past secretary of the American Business Women's Association. Survivors also include four sons, Mark (Sandi) Shoemaker of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Kyle (Tina) Shoemaker of St. Augustine, Florida, Kent (Carol) Shoemaker of Lima, Ohio and Edward "Eddie" Tierney of California; two daughters, Barbara (Bob) White of Ada, Ohio and Becky (Jerry) Grohoske of Findlay, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Tierney; and two brothers, Ernie Hudson and Orville Hudson. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The Rev. Douglas E. Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
