Melvin James Wood, Sr.,
85, of Delphos, Ohio, formerly of Graham, WA. died on Monday, March 11, 2013, at his daughters residence in Delphos, Ohio.
He was born on September 4, 1927, in Canada to Charles and Lillian Wood
Mr. Wood married Maurine J. (Way). Who preceded him in death in 2002. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was self-employed. He loved animals, enjoyed fishing, and hunting. He worked many hours with the Food Bank in Puyallup, Washington.
Surviving are: a son, Melvin James (Sally) Wood, Jr. of Ironton, OH; two daughters, Patsy (Frank) Castorani of Scio, OH and Kathryn Frazier of Delphos, OH; eight grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren; and eighteen great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Raymond Wood.
There will be no visitation and services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
