Michael L. "Fitz" Fitzgerald, 60 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Born Wednesday, February 21, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Fitzgerald and the late Vivian Cossin Fitzgerald.
Mike married Pamela Mashburn on October 29, 1977. She survives.
His favorite past time was spending time with family and friends at Cow Run. He loved to bowl, golf and played softball for many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #199, and Knights of Columbus, Lima, Ohio. He worked for Kaman Industrial Technologies.
Surviving are daughters, Valerie Smith of Coshocton, OH, Brea (Kevin) Turner of Columbus, OH and Amy (Seth) Felter of Lima, OH, ten grandchildren, Brian , Andrew , and Abbigail Smith, Jacob, Miley , Susanna, and Lucy Turner, Dylan , Alex, and Zachary Felter. Also surviving is a sister, Sheryl Marx of Mt. Gilead, OH and his Mother & Father-in-law, Arthur & Janet Roffe of Dublin, Ohio.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Pastor John Meade officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. St. B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
