Michael Herren

MICHAEL R. HERREN 50, died at 1:08 p.m. June 11, 2007, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1957, in Sidney to Robert G. and Nancy E. Davis Herren, Jr. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Lima. On August 18, 1990, he married Dorothy ?Dee? rose, who survives in Lima. Mr. Herren was a dishwasher at Bandido?s for 13 years. He attended Grace Chapel Christian Union Church, Santa Fe, Ohio. He was an Elvis fan and a huge fan of the Ohio State University Buckeyes. He loved to shoot pool, collect movies, work on the farm and drive tractors. He loved playing horseshoes, cards and dominoes. He was an extremely kind and loving person who treasured spending time with his family. Survivors also include three brothers, Gary (Holly) Herren, of Lewistown, Ohio, David (Evaline) Herren, of Cridersville, Ohio and John (Kerry) Herren, of Upper Arlington, Ohio; three sisters, Sondra (al) Carey, of Mount Gilead, Ohio, Jackie Herren, of Russells Point, Ohio and Holly (Tom) Protsman, of Lima, Ohio; 12 nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; maternal grandmother, Josephine Davis, of Lewistown; and several aunts and uncles. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Bluelick Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace chapel Christian Union Church or to the family.
