Mildred Halker

MILDRED A. HALKER, 90, died at 9:45 a.m. December 1, 2005, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born December 31, 1914, in Leipsic, Ohio to Sylvester and Agnes Ringlein Niese, who preceded her in death. On February 8, 1937, she married Cyril A. Halker, who died March 8, 1986. Mrs. Halker was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9648 Auxiliary, Columbus Grove, Ohio, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, Ohio. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia A. (Donald) Goedde, Bobbie J. (Bill) Stevens and Sandy K. (A-Jay) Dinkins, all of Lima, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Kimberlee (Hani) Baransi, Angela (Greg) Ratliff, Suzanne Goedde, Brian (Michelle) Stevens, Belinda Stevens, Brenda (Eric) Landversicht, Brad (Jamie) Stevens, Jeff (Jenny) Market and Amy (R.J.) Jorgensen; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Ratliff, Bryan Ratliff, Brea Ratliff, Rachel Baransi, Connor Landversicht, Drew Market, Kobe Fuerst and Trenton Jorgensen; and a great-great-grandchild, Joshua Rader. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Niese; and a brother, Robert Niese. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Lacey will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
