Mildred Louise Ridenour, 81, died at 1:20 p.m. on August 3, 2010, at her residence in Lima, Ohio. She was born July 9, 1929, in Lima, Ohio, to James Henry Ridenour and Mary Agnes Mooney Ridenour, who have preceded her in death. Miss Ridenour was a member of St. Mark?s United Methodist Church, Lima, Ohio. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary and the National Secretaries Association. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary. She had been a secretary for 15 years to Sharon Bresler, who was the director of utilities for the city of Lima. She retired in 1994 as a secretary in the transport department at Scot Lad Foods, Lima, Ohio, where she was the secretary to all the drivers. Survivors include a brother, Donald Ridenour, of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Margaret Baber, of Lima, Ohio, and Geraldine Beery, of Columbus, Ohio; nine nieces, Judy Shrider, of Lima, Ohio, Luann Kaufmann, of Waynesfield, Ohio, Lisa Krock, of Cridersville, Ohio, Lori Acheson, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Colleen Spencer, of Lima, Ohio, Sharon Baber, of Lima, Ohio, Nancy Taylor, of Florida, Debbie Carmean, of Lima, Ohio and JoEllen Ridenour-Johnson, of Lima, Ohio; eight nephews, Michael Foley, of Lima, Ohio, Randy Ridenour, of Lima, Ohio, Sam Ridenour, of Cromwell, Indiana, David Beery, of North Carolina, Bruce Beery, of California, Mark Beery, of North Carolina, Richard D. Ridenour, of Lima, Ohio and Thomas Ridenour, of Delphos, Ohio; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, E. Irene Foley; two brothers, James Wilson Ridenour and Richard W. Ridenour; a niece, Lynn Fee; and three nephews, David K. Ridenour, Sr., William S. Ridenour and Steven A. Ridenour. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. The Rev. Howard ?Bud? Allison will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
