Monica Marie Roberts

Monica Marie Roberts,  40 , passed away on July 31, 2022, at her residence.

Monica was born on April 29, 1982 in Lima, Ohio, N. Paul and Jan (Kowalsky) Swickrath.

Monica graduated from Apollo with her GED. She enjoyed fishing with her family and magnet fishing. Monica also played softball growing up. She loved music and would go to concerts. She also visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Monica’s favorite animal is a peacock.

She is survived by her children, Payton Roberts and Keaton Roberts; mother, Jan Swickrath; brothers, Matthew Shroyer and Justin Swickrath; nieces: Samantha and Lillie Swickrath, and Caitlyn (Nolan) Brossart; great-niece and nephew, Kennedy and Lane Brossart; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; her Boston Terrier, Daisy; and her cat, Baxter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Swickrath; uncle, Dave Kowalsky; paternal grandparents, Norman and Wanda Swickrath; and maternal grandparents, Ed and Nora Kowalsky.

In honor of Monica, the family has requested for everyone to dress comfortably.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday August 8, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Randy Coleman will officiate.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in Allen Co. or St. Judes.
