Monty R. Stubbs Sr.
79, died at 8:18 PM on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Burton's Ridge Assisted Living in Lima, Ohio.
Monty was born on September 22, 1934, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Cordell Stubbs and
Virginia (Workman) Rex .
Monty married Donna M. Rousculp on November 26, 1955, she survives in Lima. He served in the United States Army. He retired from the J. M. Sealts Company after serving as its president for many years. He volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital, was a faithful blood donor and enjoyed fishing, painting and his loyal companion, Witchie Dog.
He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Stubbs, of Lima, OH four sons Monty R. (Peggie) Stubbs, Jr., of Lima, OH, Mark (Jill) Stubbs, of Lima, OH, Todd (Cathy) Stubbs, of Port Charlotte, FL, and Brett (Barbara) Stubbs, of Monroe, OH; eight grandchildren Tyler (Kate) Stubbs, Aaron (Brooke) Stubbs, Megan Stubbs, Allie Stubbs, Shawn Stepleton, Callihan Stubbs, Spencer Stubbs, Brad Stubbs; three great grandchildren Milo Stubbs, Sparrow Lou Gail Stubbs and Arianna Stubbs; a brother - Gene (Agnes) Stubbs; two sisters Ginger (Jack) Lackey, and Luana (Tony) Ewing; and one Sister-in-law Ann Harris.
He was preceded in death by: a brother Larry Stubbs.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Rev. Phillip Lee and Brother Richard Garden will officiate.
