Muriel Fleming

MURIEL "PATTI" FLEMING, 85, died at 6:55 a.m. June 10, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1922, in Springfield, Ohio to Harley and Glenna Whittey Peterson, who preceded her in death. On November 22, 1941, she married H. Joe Fleming, who died December 14, 2000. Mrs. Fleming was a member of South Side Christian Church, where she assisted with Vacation Bible School and was a member of its Christian Women's Fellowship, and Mary Martha Class and Journey Friends. She was a member of the Neemya Chi Sorority. She was a graduate of Lima South High School and attended St. Rita's School of Nursing. Survivors include a son, Thomas W. Fleming, of Las Vegas; three daughters, Nancy (Ted Takacs) Fleming, of Olmsted Falls, Rebecca Fleming, of Seattle, and Bobbi (Robert) Dupes, of Middleburg, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Robert) Swick and June Klopp, both of Lima, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billie Peterson; two sisters, Wenona "Sis" Peterson-Boughan and Doris Peterson-Staas; and her fianc?, Clarence Moore. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at South Side Christian Church. The Rev. Douglas Adams will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
