Naomi Louise Sroufe
84, died at 11:41 PM on Monday, April 16, 2018, at her home in Lima, Ohio.
Naomi was born on December 30, 1933, in Lima, Ohio, to late Richard E. Thompson and Faye E. (Landcaster) Thompson. On August 19, 1948, she married Raymond John Sroufe who preceeded her in death on June 1, 2007.
Naomi worked at DWG Cigar Factory for 15 years. She was a member of St Gerard's Catholic Church and had worked in their Elementary School as cook for 25 years. Naomi loved to travel, and enjoyed taking vacations with her family. She loved being with her four legged companion Maggie.
She is survived by her children, Louise Ann (Larry) Sassi, Steven John (Cheryl) Sroufe, James Howard (Kimberly) Sroufe; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; ten step-great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; three sisters Faye (Rick) Cooper, Evelyn Keasler, and Connie Jean Workman; and a very special friend Sue Landers.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Alberta Allen, Emma Jean Spears,Robert Thompson, Violet Gipson, Richard Thompson, and Viola Goodwin; and a brother-in-law Paul Keasler.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
