Natividad M. Miller, 86, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on January 3, 2021, at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima.
Natividad was born on September 6, 1934, in the Philippines, to the late Ambrocio and Illuminada (Grecale) Montano. She married Moises Banaticla who preceded her in death. She later married Carl Miller, who also preceded her in death.
Natividad earned a Master’s Degree and became a school teacher. She taught for Lima Public Schools for 32 years. She was teacher of the year and started the talent show at the school. She was a Jennings Scholar from the University of Dayton.
She is survived by her daughter, Jocelyn (Jeremy) Wood; son, Joselito (Gretchen) Banaticla; grandchildren, Jaden Wood, Jemma Wood, Jamie Banaticla, Genevive Banaticla, and Alex Banaticla; and siblings, Gil Montano, Fely Hernandez, Josie Montano, Eugenia Rodis, Lulu dela Cruz, and Zeny Yumul.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ponciano Montano.
A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Friends may visit at the church from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH.
