Ned Alan Linder 41, died at 9:53 p.m. Nov. 9, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born May 17, 1966, in Lima to Darrel and Glenna Branham Linder, who survive in Lima. Mr. Linder was a graduate of Groves High School in Burm i n g h a m , Mich. He graduated from the University of Findlay with a bachelor?s degree in communication, and the University of Eastern Kentucky with a bachelor?s degree in law enforcement. He served in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan and was decorated more than 40 times. He was a member of the Fort Amanda Lodge 706 and Free and Accepted Masons Lima Chapter R.A.M. 49; Lima Council No. 20 R & S.M.; Shawnee Commandry No. 14, K.T.; Antioch Shrine Club 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite-Valley of Toledo; Theta Chi Fraternity; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima; Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post 96, Lima. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include two half sisters, Kathy (William) Kraeling, of Russelville, Ky., and Krisan (Jon) Hall, of Celina. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kara Linder. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Holy Nativity. The Rev. Patrick Lowery will officiate.
