Neil Shaw

Neil A. Shaw, 77, died at 3:45 p.m. October 11, 2010, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville, Ohio. He was born June 9, 1933, in Lima, Ohio to Joseph A. and Etta Deaton Shaw, who preceded him in death. On July 25, 1952, he married Joan Goedde, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Shaw was a life member of South Side Christian Church. He retired from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. After his retirement, he worked at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course. He won the Lima City Golf Championship three times and several Dr Pepper Men?s Opens. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War, from November 14, 1952, to November 13, 1955. Survivors include four children, Dennis (Lynda) Shaw, Kathleen (Greg) Lawrence, Susan Hoehn and Sidney Shaw, all of Lima, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings, Jay (Jean Ellen) Shaw, of Phoenix, Judy (Bob) Thompson, Anita (Nelson) Ambroza and Jeanne (Craig) Somers, all of Lima, Ohio, and Donald (Becky) Shaw, of Spencerville; and his childhood companion, Lloyd Littler, of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in St. Matthew Cemetery, Cridersville on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Douglas E.
