91, died at 1:40 PM on Monday, September 14, 2015, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Nelda was born on August 25, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Howard Ream and Ilo (Faudree) Ream.
Nelda married Ralph E. Smith on January 30th, 1943 in Lima, Ohio. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2002. Nelda was a life time member of South Side Christian Church, where she had been part of its Mary Martha Class, Christian Women's Fellowship and served in earlier years as a deaconess. Nelda also dearly loved her family and getting to spend time with them.
She is survived by three daughters, Debra (Max) Stover, of Elida, OH, Denise (David) Shafer, of Bluffton, OH, and Dena (Steve) Boswell, of Clear Spring, MD; seven grandchildren, Jason (Darla) Stover, Melissa (Justin) Games, Todd (Kelli) Cosart, Amy (Katie Hartwig) Cosart, Molly (Mason) Hagemeyer, Ashley Pill, and Katie Pill, four great grandchildren, Michaela Cosart, Camden Cosart, Mattie Cosart, and Match Hagemeyer; several special nephews & nieces.
She was preceded in death by a son David Smith, a great grandson Zane Cosart, a sister Eleanor "Doad" Gross.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2015 at South Side Christian Church, Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2015 at South Side Christian Church in Lima, OH. Revs. Wanda Werking and Todd Cosart will officiate.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
