Neva L. Brown

Neva Loretta Brown, 86, passed away at 9:04 p.m. on September 13, 2021, at Meadows of Delphos.

Neva was born on June 19, 1935, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clinton and Florence (Leasure) Wright.  On April 3, 1954, she married Charles Frances Brown who preceded her in death.

Neva was a graduate of Lima South High School, and a member of Gardendale Church in Lima. Neva was formerly employed at both Medal Gold Dairy in Lima, and Mitchell’s Drug Store in Lima. Neva loved to write poetry and short stories and loved her family. Neva was also associated with The Rainbow Girls.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Rita) Brown of Marysville, Ohio, and Lance (Annette) Brown of Delphos, Ohio; three daughters, Cathy (Dan) Graham, Kellie (Dwayne) Haithcox, both of Lima, and Tammi Brown of Beaufort, SC; thirty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Owen Wright; a sister Barbara Shinabery; sister-in-law Phyllis Wright; and a brother-in-law Ray Shinabery.

The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Gardendale Church of God.  Pastor Justin Musto will officiate.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society.
