Nicholas Hale, 55, surprised everyone but Jesus when he went to meet him at 7:52 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at his home.
Nicholas was born on June 13, 1967 in Lima, Ohio, to Norman and Ruth (Wireman) Hale. On February 8, 2008 he married Sherry (Punches) Hale, who survives in Lima.
Nicholas was a CDL Driver for Brent Burris Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Chasticy Jarrell, Kenneth (Ellece) Joiner, Joshua Hale and Jacob Hale; four grandchildren; sisters: Sharon (E.J.) Watkins, Barbara (Richard) Martin, Mary (Larry) Kelley, Norma (Paul) Dawson, Hope Hale, Mildred Yoder, Roxie Greenway, Frieda (Tony) Zambrano and Early Mae Wiggins; brothers: Paul Hale, Norman (Heidi) Hale Jr., and Teddy (Crystal) Hale; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah Miller; brothers, Michael Hale and Farrell Hale; and infant brother, Monte Hale.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Grace Fellowship Church. Pastor Julianne Burk will officiate. Burial will follow at Roundhead Cemetery, Belle Center, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
