Nina M. Chaney Zankoski,
88, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 10:05 AM on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Lima Convalescent Home in Lima, Ohio.
Nina was born on September 07, 1927, in Bethesda, Ohio, to the late Violet (Lucas) Perkins. In 1987 she married Raymond Zankoski who preceded her in death.
Nina was a member of Grace Community Church of Lima, Ohio. Originally from Lima, she had lived in Bradenton, Florida for thirty seven years before returning in 2012. Through the years she was employed at Greggs Dept. Store, ODOT, and Manatee Memorial Hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting seashells, scrapbooking, caring for her orchids, and watching Dr. David Jeremiah and Gaither homecoming videos on TV. She delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by: two daughters, Melinda (Gail) Altstaetter of Lima and Nina Rae (Wayne) Fox of Murphy, TX; grandchildren, Sandi Altstaetter, Wayne (Kari) Altstaetter, Khara (Brian) Green and Seth Fox; great grandchildren, Hannah Altstaetter, Kylah Altstaetter, Norah Altstaetter, Christian Green, Gavin Green, Austin Green; brothers, Thomas Fettig and Louis (Margie) Fettig.
A memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm on November 14, 2015 at Grace Community Church, Allentown Road, Lima, with a reception following the service. Pastor John Heyward will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian charity of the donor's choice.
