Noah Everett Eberhart, 81, died at 5:31 a.m. September 13, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 4, 1927, in Pleasant Grove, Kansas, to Everett L. and Leona Daley Eberhart, who preceded him in death. He married Marie Fleer. Mr. Eberhart was raised on a farm in Pleasant Grove, Kansas, near Baldwin City. He served in the Army during and after World War II and was injured after the war in occupied Italy. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor?s degree in electrical engineering. He received his professional engineer?s license and worked at Westinghouse Motors for 31 years, starting in Lima and finishing his professional career in El Paso, Texas. He raised four children with his wife. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and take care of his farm in Kansas. Upon his retirement, he moved from El Paso back to the family homestead in Pleasant Grove, Kan., where he was able to join his parents for the final years of their lives. He was greatly loved and will be severely missed. Survivors include three sons, Bruce Eberhart, of Lima, Ohio, David (Barbee) Eberhart, of Chagrin Falls, and Mike (Paulett) Eberhart, of Plano, Texas; a daughter, Jan (Rich) Rudolph, of Lima, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Toph Eberhart, Cassandra (Lee) Perry, Gretta Eberhart, Jamin Eberhart, Jennifer Eberhart, Jessica Eberhart, Matthew Eberhart, Ryan Malooly, Skyler Malooly and Zion Rudolph; three great-grandchildren, Derick Perry, Jilleen Perry and Alexcis Perry; and a brother, Delbert (Jean) Eberhart, of Lawrence, Kan. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Aaron Everett Eberhart and David Lucas Eberhart. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Worden United Methodist Church, Worden, Kansas. Burial will be in Pleasant Cemetery, Baldwin City, Kansas. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence, Kansas.
