Nodja R. DeVita

Nodja R. DeVita, 77, passed away at 1:52 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Otterbein of Cridersville. 

Nodja was born on February 22, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to William Soloman and Ruth Mary (Woods) Keller. On September 24, 1964, she married Thomas DeVita who preceded her in death on April 8, 2006.

Nodja enjoyed bowling and golfing. She loved spending time with her family, and her grandchildren were her whole world. She had many good times traveling and spending time with friends.

She is survived by her sons: Tim (Mary) DeVita, Tony (Alana) DeVita, and Bill (Bridget) DeVita; and two grandchildren, A.J. and Joey DeVita. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Ricky DeVita.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. Bob Butler will officiate. A private burial of ashes will take place at a later date. 

Nodja’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of both Otterbein Cridersville and Interim Hospice for taking great care of her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Rescue Mission.
