Norman Laman, 91, died at 10:30 a.m. April 1, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Allentown to Levi and Grace Kennedy Laman, who preceded him in death. His wife, Dorothy Laman, died in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Norman (Jan) Laman, of League City, Texas, and Randy (Donna Marie) Laman, of Key Port, N.J.; two sisters, Naomi Buetner, of Elida, and Jeanette Radar, of Seminole, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, C. June Laman, of Elida.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Clark; and three sisters, Evelyn, Esther and Nora.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Todd Cosart will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M.
