88, died at 6:00 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at his residence in Elida, Ohio.
Norman was born on June 2, 1928, in Lima, Ohio, to the late John Swickrath and Mildred (Holton) Swickrath.
Norman married Wanda Jacobs on June 26, 1948, who is deceased. He retired from Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, yard work and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved spending time with the family.
He is survived by: three sons, N. Paul (Jan) Swickrath, William K. (Pam) Swickrath and Dan (Shirley) Swickrath, a daughter, Tina (William) Kluge; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by all of his siblings.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio and a half hour prior to service at the church.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Elida, Ohio.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio.
