OLA RUTH WEBB CAIN, 74, died at 9:05 p.m. October 9, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born August 14, 1930, in Lima to Luke and Grace Haithcock Webb, who preceded her in death. On July 19, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, she married Robert "Bob" Cain, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Her grandfather, T.D. Haithcock, performed the marriage. Mrs. Cain retired from Crouse Lumber after 38 years and was a homemaker in Lima, Ohio and Carson, California. She was a life member of Second Baptist Church, where she had been involved in church activities and the adult choir prior to her illness. She was a member of A-Olian Club, now the Triangle Club, and the Bradfield Center Girls Choir and Women's Auxiliary. She was involved with the Community Choir and sang as a soloist for many special occasions and was part of the choir for the dedication of the WLIO station. She enjoyed knitting and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of bowling and golf leagues. Survivors also include a daughter, Janice (Thomas) Pea of Carson, California; a son, Aaron Cain of Carson, California; two sisters, Flora Lawson and Doris Stewart, both of Lima, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Tifini Pea and Jareem Pea, both of Carson, California. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Webb Liston; and three brothers, Donald Webb, WilliamWebb and Norman Webb. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Ward will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
