Oro Mcelderry

Oro W. ?Mac? McElderry 90, died at 11 a.m. June 29, 2009, at Lima Convalescent Home. He was born August 19, 1918, in Putnam County, Ohio to Len and Lottie Neill McElderry, who preceded him in death. On December 23, 1949, he married Gloria D. Drake, who survives in Elida, Ohio. Mr. McElderry retired May 1, 1984, from Westinghouse as an electrical tester. He was a member of the Cable Road Alliance Church. He was a member of the Lima Camera Club and loved photography and fishing. Survivors also include two sons, David (Helen) McElderry and Steven Lowell (Stephanie) McElderry, both of Lima, Ohio; a daughter, Ellen Marie (Leonard) Cole, of Harrod, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Michelle, Ashley and Joshua. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold McElderry; and a sister, Marie McElderry. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Ronald Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
