Otis Good

OTIS J. GOOD, 90, died at 3:50 a.m. July 26, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1914, in Elida to Irvin and Lillian Virginia Wilkins Good, who preceded him in death. On May 2, 1942, he married Mildred Good, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Good retired in 1979, as a machine operator from Warner & Swasey, after 31 years. He was a member of Gardendale Church of God. Survivors also include three sons, Paul (Laurie) Good of Elida, Ohio, James (Julie) Good of Orlando, Florida, and Charles (Colleen) Good of Elida, Ohio; two brothers, Albert (Jane) Good of Lima, Ohio and Leroy (Susie) Good of Baden, Ontario, Canada; three sisters, Rosella Hershberger of Lima, Ohio, Alverta (La Verne) Good of Leo, Indiana, and Nettie Burtchin of Lima, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Good. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Davy will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
