Otis Mason, 85, died at 1 p.m. June 18, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 14, 1924, in Pineville, Kentucky, to John and Ada Collins Mason, who preceded him in death. One June 12, 1948, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, he married Eula Brooks, who survives. The Rev. Mason had been a truck driver for the Bell County Road Department. He pastured several different churches throughout his 42 years of ministry, and he was deeply devoted to his family. Survivors also include two daughters, Etta Fay (Jay) Clevenger, of Vaughnsville, Ohio, and Vivian Ann (Greg) Fromm, of Lima, Ohio; a son, Perry Glenn (Jeannie) Mason, of Continental, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Melissa (Scott) Webb, Heather (Scott) Raines, B.J. Fromm, Jason Fromm, Otis Lee (Krista) Fromm, Michelle (Eric) Fromm, Blaine Fromm, Chase Mason, Dereck Stewart, Chelsea Mason, Cameron Mason and Caden Mason; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Neil Smith and Lena Smith. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Mason, Roy Mason and Larry Mason; and two brothers-in-law, Beve Smith and Richard Smith. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lima Missionary Baptist Church. The Revs. Terry Brock, Jack Burns and Tab Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Jackson Township, Lafayette, Ohio. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
