Patricia Jean Erb Corcoran passed away peacefully, on March 13th, 2013, at 7:50 AM, at her daughter's residence.
She was born on June 4, 1921 to Louis and Mary Agnes (Mayme) Erb. On December 28, 1942, she married John (Bud) Corcoran who preceded her in death on June 14, 1985.
Pat was a lifelong member of St. Rose Church and, in 1974, was one of the first appointed lay Eucharistic ministers. She was a volunteer at St. Rita Medical Center for over 35 years, logging over 15,000 volunteer hours and was awarded the Catherine McCauley Award for volunteer service in 2010. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends.
She is survived by her children, son Michael (Karen) Corcoran, and daughters Sharon (Art) Seggerson, Susan (Mike) Sarakaitis, Kathleen (Tony) Libertella, Mary Zimmer, Patricia (Tim) Krouse, Maureen (Frank) Kahle, Sheila (Pat) Murphy and Anne (Van) Lurton. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Sarakaitis.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be co-celebrated by Fr. David Ross and Fr. Norbert Howe, at
11 AM Saturday, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima. Interment will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 PM - 8 PM on Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will begin at 7:30.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or St. Rita's Hospice.
