Patricia Cosyn

Patricia R. Cosyn, 92, passed away at 4:24 a.m. on September 24, 2021, at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, Oh.

Patricia was born on May 8, 1929, in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada, to the late James Patrick and Annie (Cleary) Henneberry.  On October 1, 1949 she married Lucien C. Cosyn who survives in Wooster, Ohio.

After high school, Patricia attended a business school and earned certification in bookkeeping, then worked briefly in that capacity at Imperial Oil in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, before marrying and becoming a full-time homemaker. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was very active in her church and community, working with local charities and singing in the church choir for more than forty years. She also did volunteer work at St. Rita’s, and seamstress work for a number of local causes.

Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Jerome of Wooster, OH, and his wife Wanda; Kelly Tilford of Oceanside, CA; John of Pompano Beach, FL; seven grandchildren: Rhonda Mangione, Patricia Kurian, James Cosyn, Erin Cosyn, Karen Kettner, Laura Goins, and Elizabeth Buckhannon; eleven great-grandchildren, Nicole Calungsod (USAF), Christian Kurian, Nathan Hajek, Anastasia Cosyn, Emma, Chloe, Logan &Violet Buckhannon, Ramey Kettner, Dylan & Tyler Bowers; and two great-great-grandchildren: Jordan and Lacey Calungsod.

She was preceded in death by two children, Sharon Trohler and Joseph Cosyn.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 12 - 2 p.m. prior to mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
