Patricia A. Eaton, 73 of Lima, Ohio died on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at her residence.
Born Saturday, October 23, 1937 in Wauseon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank C. Whitmer and the late Betsy Merle Saul Whitmer. .
She was a graduate of Wauseon High School and a graduate of Ohio Northern University in June of 1959. She met her husband Raymond W. Eaton at ONU. They were married on September 17, 1959. She was preceded in death by her husband and two children who died January 25, 1980 in a house fire. She retired as a school teacher teaching Jr. High and High School English in London, Ohio; Thomas Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio; Bath High School in Akron, Ohio, Elida High School, Shawnee High School and retired from St. Gerard's School after 20 years of service. She also worked at Andersons Bakery from the day they opened in Lima until the day they closed.
Surviving are son, Doug (Elizabeth) Eaton of Westerville, OH, two grandchildren, William R. Eaton of Columbus, Ohio and Sarah E. Eaton of Columbus, Ohio, brothers, Robert (Lois) Whitmer of Wauseon, OH and Jerry Whitmer of Akron, OH, sisters, Jeannette (Don) Eaton of Tucson, AZ and Bonita (Edgar) Sauder of Archbold, OH., Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James & Cindy Eaton of Lima, Ohio, Sister-in-law, Patricia Whitmer of Wauseon, Ohio, Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Sally & John MacDonell of Lima, Ohio and Sister-in-law, Marnie Whitmer of Akron, Ohio.
She was predeceased by son, Philip Raymond Eaton, daughter, Ann Elizabeth Eaton, brothers, Clair Whitmer and Lowell Whitmer, sisters, Beatrice Whitmer, Alice (Ken) Fogarty and Mary Whitmer, and a sister-in-law, Boo Whitmer.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with the Rev. Rob White officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home,
