Patricia Lee Karcher

Patricia Lee Karcher, 76, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s in Lima while on St. Rita’s Hospice.

Patricia was born on February 19, 1947, in Marion, Ohio, to Everett and Eilleen (Prater) Reeves who preceded her in death.  On October 17, 1968, she married Robert J. Karcher Sr., who preceded her in death on September 29, 2022.

Mrs. Karcher was active in Head Start, PTA, Spartan Mother, and other school activities.  She worked at the Lima City Schools as a cook for 29.7 years.  She also worked part-time at GNC, Marimor, Value City, and Linda’s Herb Shop.

She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Rod) Burchett of Lima and Lisa (Ben) Reeves White of Bainbridge, Georgia; a son, Robert (Maria) Karcher, Jr. and family of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren: Noah (Hope) Burchett, Amanda Burchett, and Heather Allison; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Gail Carder; sister-in-law, Sue (Pete) Badas and best friend, Ginger Woods.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hershel Prater; stepmother, Marcella Reeves; sister, Evelene Reeves; and stepsister, Rita Parker.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  Chaplain Herb Wilker will officiate.  A private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
