Patricia Ann Morris

Patricia Ann Morris, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Vancrest of Delphos.

She was born on November 10, 1928, in Lansing, Michigan, to Russel Franklin and Martha Elizabeth (Kirker) Morris.

Pat attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Recreation.  She worked for the City of Lima, Ohio, serving as the Supervisor of Recreation from 1954 to 1975 and as Director of Parks and Recreation from 1974 until retiring in 1985.  She was a member of the Board for the Allen County Chapter of the American Heart Association.  She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church of Lima, Ohio, where she served on many boards and committees.  She received special recognition from Trinity's United Methodist Women for her service to Trinity.  She received Woman of the Year award from Allen County Sertoma.  She was a member of the Lotus Club.  She was a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health System since 1974.  She enjoyed interaction with her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sisters: Sandra Lee (William) Sheffer of St. Clair, MI, Martha Louise (Wayne) Groeau of Manistique, MI, and Barbara Jean (Ron) Morris-Davies of Presque Isle, MI; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Marilyn Elizabeth Morris and Ruth Jane Kidder.

There will be no visitation or services per Patricia’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Trinity United Methodist Church for upkeep of Trinity Park and Gardens.
