Patrick G. McNamara

Patrick G. McNamara, 60, passed away at 2:59 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at his home in Lima. Patrick was born on March 8, 1961 in Lima, Ohio to Robert L. and Carole C. (Gordon) McNamara.

Patrick was a 1979 graduate of Shawnee High School and worked as a machinist at Global Precision in Ottoville.  He was an avid Notre Dame fan and the McNamara/Gordon family genealogist.

He is survived by his brother, Michael McNamara of Lima; sister-in-law, Diane McNamara of Stevensville, MI; two very special nieces whom he loved and were the apples of his eye and loves of his life, Meghan (Dave Sandmann) McNamara of Cincinnati and Lauren (Joe) Munno of Chicago; special cousin, David McNamara; and several other cousins, aunts and uncles on both the McNamara and Gordon sides.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carole; brother, Timothy J. McNamara; and sister, Jaime McNamara-Jackson

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 p.m.  The family encourages guests to wear their Notre Dame attire in Patrick’s memory. Father David Ross will officiate.  Private burial of ashes will be in Gethsemani Cemetery at a later date.
