Patrick Ryan, 64, of Lima, passed away at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on June 1, 1950 in Lima to the late Leo A. and Julia (Stippich) Ryan.
Patrick had served in the Army National Guard and had worked at Ryans Market and Grocery Store, GROB Systems in Bluffton as an aircraft fabricator and at Top Line Express as a dispatcher.
He was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church. He had a pilot's license earlier in life and enjoyed flying. He was also a member of the L.A.R.K.S. (Lima Area Radio Kontrol Society), and enjoyed "hanging out" with buddies and working on and building hot rods.
He is survived by: a son, Zach Ryan of Lima; two brothers, Tim (Pam) Ryan of Elida and Mike (Judy) Ryan of Venice Beach, CA; two sisters, Lin (Greg) Thompson of Spencerville and Kim (Dave) Cheng of Rockford, IL.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Gerard's Catholic Church on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:30 A.M.
