Paul W. Cook,

95, passed away at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Richland Manor Nursing Home in Bluffton, Ohio.

Paul was born on Saturday, May 01, 1920, in Lima, to the late Edgar Raymond and Bonnie M. (Scholfield) Cook. On Saturday, August 12, 1944 he married Luella (Wannemacher) Cook, who survives.

Mr. Cook served in the United States Army during World War II from March 1944 to January 1946. He retired from Excello after thirty five years as a setup operator. He retired from Excello. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans #19 and the VFW Post #1275.

He is survived by: daughters, Paulette "Cookie" (Rod) Tuach, Lima and Pamela Rose (Russ) Valenti, Wapakoneta; sons, Daniel (Denise) Cook and John Cook; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: sisters, Elizabeth "Dolly" Leffler and sister, Ruth Alloway; brother, Edgar Cook and grandson, Drew Cook.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Rev. Joe Pumphrey will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Graveside military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #1275.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or The Ronald McDonald House.
