Paul G. Hahn, 73, of Elida, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 4:22 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born on December 22, 1944 in Lima, Ohio to Paul G. and Betty M. {Phillips} Hahn. His mother survives him in Lima. On May 30, 1987 he married Sandra K.”Sandy” {Moorman}, who survives in Elida.
Paul was the owner of Meat City since 1976. He retired in May 2018. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandkids. As an entrepreneur, he turned a neighborhood grocery store into the premier top of the line drive thru carry-out store in Lima.
Paul is survived by his children: Kenneth (Karen) Hahn of Lima, Steve L. (Lynda) Barrington of Columbus, Todd (Julie) Hahn of Lima, Matt (Michelle) Hahn of Lima, and Don (Molly) Barrington of Columbus, two sisters: Marsha (Sig) Bauer of Maryland, and Pamela L. (Don) Whited of Lima, one brother Steven J. (Kristina) Hahn of Waynesfield, and 10 grandchildren: Cory (Mary) Hahn, Cody (Anna) Hahn, Cameron Hahn, Courtney Hahn, Brooke Barrington, Ashley Barrington, Anthony Hahn, Nicholas Hahn, Patrick Barrington, and Agnes Barrington.
Friends may visit on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 10a.m. -12p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12p.m. Fr. Jim Szobonya will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
