Paul D. Hochstetler
Born May 21, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to the late Leo Ann (Eversole) and Clarence D. “Pete” Hochstettler. He married Patricia Jean Rupert on December 17, 1949, who survives in Lima.
They were happily married for 68 years. Paul graduated from Lima Central High School in 1946 and from Northwestern School of Commerce in 1949. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Korea on occupation duty from 1946 to 1948. He retired from Equity Dairies Inc. in 1982 and Nutek Foods, Inc. in 1990. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church since 1960 where he served in many capacities and was blessed to have been head usher and greeter for over 32 years. He greatly enjoyed spending time with a loving family and friends and watching grandchildren at sporting and other events. He was a participant for many years in fast pitch softball. He liked all sports and was a lifelong fan of Lima Senior sports and also The Ohio State, Browns and Reds.
He is survived by his children David & (Barb) Hochstetler, Jim & (Chrys) Hochstetler, John & (Chris) Hochstetler and Lisa & (Kevin) Phillips; Sixteen grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and four step great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 12:00 Noon till 2:00 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. Following visitation the funeral will start at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Tim Benjamin will conduct the service.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Forest Park United Methodist Church Missions Fund.
