PAUL HENRY KITCHEN, 91, died at 8:30 a.m. October 23, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1914, in Delphos, Ohio to Henry and Nora Sheely Kitchen, who preceded him in death. On September 9, 1933, he married Mildred Neumeier, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Kitchen retied from Lima City Schools, where he had been a custodian at Edison Elementary School. He had also worked at the Lima Army Tank Plant and Western Ohio Lumber. Survivors also include four daughters, Janice (Bill Grisham) of Moses Lake, Washington, Barbara (Glenn) Kramer of Scottsville, New York, Darlene (Myron) Offenbacher of Lima, Ohio and Charlene L. (John) Bishop of Belle Center, Ohio; two brothers, James Kitchen and Raymond (Pauline) Kitchen, both of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Covault of Apple Valley, California; and 13 grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Kitchen, who died in childhood and Melvin (Bettie) Kitchen; two sisters, Viola Kitchen, who died in childhood, and Lucille (Jess) Lewis; a brother-in-law, Howard Covault; and a great-granddaughter, Maureen Bishop. Services will begin at 11 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Rollison will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
