Paul D. Kunkleman, 69, died November 14, 2010, in Hayden Colorado. He was born September 4, 1941, in Lima, Ohio to Dwight Charles and Betty Jane Frail Kunkleman, who survive. Mr. Kunkleman retired on January 1, 2000, from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant after more than 39 years. He was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He was a member of Westside United Methodist Church. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1219. He loved camping, hunting and spending time with his family and no one left without a hug. His favorite time of year was Christmas and he made special Christmas Eve runs. Christ came first and was the center of his life. He was an avid sports fan. He volunteered at Cup, Salvation Army, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Men?s Mission, and the Westgate Neighborhood Association. Survivors also include three daughters, Kelly (Greg) DeRossett, Mindy (Perry) Boedicker and Sylvia Hamlin, all of Lima, Ohio; two sons, Nick Kunkleman and Steve Kunkleman, both of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Chasity, Jessica, Brittany, Kristen, Daris, Malachai and Samuel Paul; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and John; four brothers, David F. Kunkleman, of Norton, Larry Jay (Barbara) Kunkleman, of Elida, and Timothy Wayne (Kay) Kunkleman and Gregg Eugene (Sandi) Kunkleman, both of Lima; and several nieces and nephews. Services will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Westside United Methodist Church. The Rev. William Kronk will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
